Cathy is a model that I have been working with for a while, and we have a great working relationship and I love the work that we have created together, she has been a joy to work with. We have mainly shot fine art nudes together in both studios and out door environmental nudes, some of works of art we’ve created have been shown in galleries.

Not only has Cathy been a great creative partner that has challenged me with different ideas and concepts to try, but I really appreciate her patience since I started using older Nikon manual focus lenses and having to get used to manually focusing all over again, she has been very patient and graceful holding her poses a little longer.

The reason I decided to start using manual focusing lenses was to get a different artist look and esthetic that I like. It has also made me slow down and concentrate on what is see in the whole frame as I’m looking through the camera viewfinder, so I have focused more on getting the composition that I want in camera as I shoot, rather than re-cropping the photo in post process.

The lenses that I have been mainly using are Nikon’s Nikkor 50mm f1.8 ais, Micro-Nikkor 55mm 2.8 ais, Nikkor 135mm f2.8 ais and the Nikkor 200mm f4.0 ais. I have also used a Zeiss 100mm f2.0M ZF.2 Macro which I really like and I have been experimenting with an old Carl Zeiss 50mm f2,8 lens that has been modified to work with the Nikon F mount.
