In this show I discuss drone photography with returning co-host Joe Engelbrecht. Drone photography has become fast growing market, I can see wedding, real estate and commercial photography really taking advantage of using drones for their work in both creative and professional work. With the number of licensed and amateur drones increasing and all the near misses with commercial air traffic plus people finding drones on their property which brings up privacy concerns, I’m wondering if drones will have an negative impact. I see drones as a tool if used right but I can also see how people can abuse the usage of drones for nefarious reasons such as invasion of privacy.
I personally have no intension in the near future to get into drone photography but as the technology gets better and if in the future the operator can have full control of the aperture of the camera, then I might reply look into a drone.
