In this episode I have my friend Joe Engelbrecht from back for a discussion of what I call “The race to the bottom”, which is my view of what has happened to professional photography in the digital age now in our area.

With many people now purchasing a digital camera kit and advertising their services on social media and charging virtually nothing for their work, they have impacted the profession dramatically. This has impacted me personally and many of my fellow professional photographers that I have known have left the profession, it’s hard to compete with people who charge sub $50 photoshoots. I have had to diversify and explore other options and show potential new clients now the value you get with a photographer who knows the craft and can deliver professional quality work. We also go over what a new photographer should consider when getting in to the profession, Joe also expands more on this subject on his blog.
